Maria is a seasoned dental office manager with 25 years of experience creating smooth operations and a family-like atmosphere for patients and staff. She takes pride in fostering strong teamwork, supporting Dr. Bowman, and ensuring the highest level of care in every aspect of the practice.
In addition to her career in dentistry, Maria is also a part-time real estate agent, where she extends her dedication to service by guiding families toward their dream homes.
Outside of work, she is a proud mom of three who enjoys jogging and traveling to new destinations, always seeking balance between her professional commitments and family life.
Loretta
Front Desk Coordinator/Patient Care Coordinator
Loretta is the warm and welcoming face you’ll see when you arrive at our office! As our Front Desk Coordinator, she ensures that every patient feels comfortable, informed, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
With 10+ years of experience in dental administration, Loretta is an expert at scheduling appointments and answering all your questions with professionalism and care. She loves creating a positive first impression and takes pride in helping our patients feel at ease during their visits.
Outside the office, Loretta enjoys spending time with her family and kitty cat Nermal. She also enjoys camping, reading, and hosting dinner parties with friends and family! Her friendly personality and attention to detail make her a valued part of our dental team.
Shannon
New Patient Coordinator
As our New Patient Coordinator, Shannon is the first point of contact for those joining our dental family. She is dedicated to making every new patient feel welcomed, informed, and confident about their dental care journey from the very beginning.
With 9 years of experience in patient relations and dental administration, Shannon helps guide patients through the scheduling process, verifies insurance benefits, gathers medical and dental history, and answers any questions about their first visit. She ensures that every new patient has a smooth, stress-free experience from their first call to their first appointment.
Shannon is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment for patients and takes pride in building lasting relationships. Her attention to detail, warm demeanor, and strong communication skills make her a vital part of our team.
Outside the office, she enjoys going on adventures, learning about local cultures, traveling, if she not singing, listening to music, she has her nose in a book. She adores her family and any time with them, cooking, playing board games and just being together.
Kayla
Dental Hygienist
With over 14 years of experience working alongside Dr. Bowman, Kayla is a dedicated dental hygienist known for her gentle touch, thorough care, and strong relationships with patients of all ages. Her long-standing commitment to the practice reflects her passion for preventative care and patient education, helping individuals maintain healthy smiles through every stage of life. Kayla takes pride in creating a comfortable and welcoming environment, making even the most nervous patients feel at ease.
She received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Central Piedmont Community College.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her two children, going on walks, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
Erin
Dental Hygienist
Erin Simpson, RDH, is a 2008 graduate of Central Piedmont Community College’s Dental Hygiene program. After graduation, Erin began her career in a pediatric dental office, working specifically with children, young adults and special needs patients of all ages. Erin moved to work in general dentistry in 2017 and joined Dr. Bowman at Forest Lake Dental in the fall of 2020.
Erin is passionate about patient care and oral health education, as well as the patient’s overall health.
When not at work, Erin enjoys gardening and beekeeping. She is married with two sons who attend Sun Valley Schools. As a family they love to visit the Gulf Coast of Florida as well as the mountains of North Carolina.
Irina
Dental Assistant II
Irina has been in the dental field for 21 years, having completed the dental assisting program at Central Piedmont Community College in 2002. When not assisting chairside she enjoys spending time with her family, home improvement projects, and travel. Her role at Forest Lake is to help provide compassionate care and positive experiences for patients.

Hi! I’m a dedicated dental assistant with a passion for helping patients feel comfortable and confident about their smiles. When I’m not in the office, you can usually find me at the gym lifting weights or spending time with my three very spoiled dogs. I believe in living a healthy, balanced lifestyle and bringing that same energy and care to every patient I meet.
